Carano di Cavalese: a Fiemme Valley postcard

Entrenched between the Pala Group (Pale di San Martino) and the Lagorai mountain range , Carano‘s picturesque centre is famous for its cortazze – steep and narrow alleyways constructed in this manner to facilitate the flow of water. A typical alpine village, embraced by soft pastures and watched over by towering peaks, in winter Carano is a strategic spot for ski lovers, who unwind here after a day on the slopes of the nearby Ski Center Latemar or on the cross-country courses in Passo Lavazè. In summer, those same areas unveil hundreds of wonders and incredible trails for hikers.
