Against the picture postcard background of the lake, which reflects the snow-capped peaks, our family is happy to welcome your family with all sorts of services and attention focused on ensuring your days will be truly special.
“Never grow up” is the philosophy that inspires us, because the secret to happiness is maintaining that touch of childhood magic that makes everything better. We treasure children's enthusiasm and curiosity, offering them recreational activities that stimulate them and help them grow through fun. Guided excursions, games, workshops: every activity offered during the 50 hours of weekly entertainment is chosen with love, care and attention, keeping the children and teenage guests in mind.
We take care of babies aged 6 months and over and, on request, we also offer a service of individual assistance for littler babies: this is our way of pampering new parents and allowing them some time to relax.
Maybe in the Adults Only Area with the organic clay sauna, the lake view sauna and the salt steam bath. For those who love sharing relaxing moments with their children, there are family saunas and wellness treatments. Then there’s the not-to-be-missed Aqua Fun Park, the realm of fun in the water, with an indoor and outdoor pool, water slides and games, a pool for teenagers and one dedicated to littler children.
You can enjoy activities in close contact with nature and exciting courses in every season, like: skiing and sailing lessons, carriage rides and excursions through the meadows or on the snow, allowing you to discover our beautiful valley.

Adventure, emotions and learning: every week, the DAS GERSTL Unique Team offers a special, engaging and ever-changing entertainment programme for children and teenagers, combining fun and games with curiosity and knowledge. 50 hours of activities, all focused on happiness and enthusiasm!
Want a few examples? The excursions around Lake Resia, where children can deepen their understanding of history and discover how electricity is obtained. The farm visits, where they can learn where the eggs used to make delicious sweet treats come from and how to approach animals with respect. Then there are cookery, painting and handicrafts lessons, evenings dedicated to games and quizzes, talent shows, go-kart races and face painting, as well as lots of opportunities for games and adventures at the hotel.
We make sure children and teenagers have fun in a simple yet functional and engaging way, thanks to direct contact with nature during the changing of the seasons!
Baby & Toddler Club
A quiet and well-maintained corner dedicated to littler children, with an ad hoc assistance service: this is what we offer families with children aged from 6 months to 3 years. In addition, the parents-children area offers relaxing moments for new families, with healthy baby foods available free of charge.
For babies of up to 6 months, you can book an individual assistance service at a cost of € 20.00 per hour per child.

Dedicated to 4 to 8-year-old children, who can experiment with lots of creative activities and stimulating games every day, always different according to the season.

We offer a gourmet culinary experience every day, based on local products “sourced within 30 km". Yes, indeed – because we are committed to selecting only the best ingredients from within a 30 km radius! Our gourmet board, entrusted to Chef Petra Patscheider, remains true to the motto "everything is optional, nothing is obligatory", demonstrating that every choice is dictated by the heart, by ethics and by the desire to guarantee only the best for families.
At lunch, from 12 noon until 1.30 pm, children can enjoy the Mercato del Gusto (Tasty Foods Market)with its appetising foods, while adults can choose from the delicious dishes on the bistrot menu (for a fee).
A long, mouth-watering bite to eat, served from 2 pm to 4.30 pm, offers afternoon nibbles, homemade cakes, soup of the day and plenty of tasty snacks.
Dinner is a true experience: the dishes are carefully prepared in our open kitchen and are served from 6.15 pm to 8.30 pm either traditional-style or as a buffet. We organise themed gourmet evenings, like Bella Italia, Venosta Barbecue, Gerstl’s Kitchen Party, Asia Meets and many others.
To start the day in the best possible way, we make your family a rich, tasty breakfast: bread and croissants, local cheeses and cured meats, fruit, yoghurt from the farmer and cakes. For the children, there are wafers, pancakes, eggs, muffins, brownies and fruit milkshakes. Then there are healthy snacks and dishes made on the spot… Now all you need to do is come to DAS GERSTL to try our delicacies!
