It is easy to understand why so many families like holidaying in San Benedetto del Tronto. It is a little jewel along the Riviera delle Palme, which is also the symbol of this town.
You only need to walk along its quaint promenade lined by its famous palm trees (8000 to be exact) to experience it. Elegant and spacious, it has plenty of play areas for children and several themed gardens: the arid garden, the wet garden, the palm garden, rose garden and the Mediterranean scrub garden.
Among other things, it has more than 15 km of cycle path which ends in Cupra Marittima. As it is so spacious, there is also room for baby buggies. San Benedetto boasts a series of sandy beaches in a stunning background of palms and oleander encasing a pretty historic centre ideal for quiet walks with the children perhaps in the evening.
The most popular place? The children’s garden, of course, with its many play areas and the little house with the slides.
