Discovering Valdilana - Zegna
Valdilana – Zegna is a destination in Piedmont, where families can enjoy a holiday in the open air, with woods, valleys and activities suitable for children. Exploring the Oasi Zegna is a must. This natural area extends for more than 100 km² and features trails, meadows and beechwoods, perfect for simple walks, outings and outdoor games in every season.
The family experiences not to be missed at the Oasi Zegna include an outing to the Bosco Animato (Animated Forest), where wooden sculptures liven up the trails, and the Bosco del Sorriso (Smile Forest), a route of about 4.8 km, also ideal for children and trekking strollers. The fun carries on with the Rolba Run, a rail bobsleigh running down the slopes of Monte Marca, and numerous easy walks, as well as more challenging ones across meadows and through woods.
For little adventurers, there’s also the Veglio Adventure Park, where rope courses suspended between the trees offer fun for children aged 3 and over.
In winter, as well as skiing and snowshoeing in the Bielmonte area, you can learn to ski with schools and slopes suited to families and continue walking through the snowy woods.
Places worth visiting in the area around Valdilana – Zegna include the Sanctuary of Oropa, a spiritual complex nestled between the mountains, with its Sacro Monte, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the splendid Lake Orta for a day trip.
