Among the things to do with children in Valdaora, we recommend at least one day at the Mondo Bimbi playground, where the little ones can climb in complete safety, walk in nature, whoosh down the giant 56-metre slide (the longest in the whole of South Tyrol!) and cross a path that joins the tree houses. There is also a water world and a playground in the woods.
If you love excursions, as well as the technical trails, you’ll find various paths suitable for families, which you can also move along with a trekking stroller; one of the many paths connects the Church of Valdaora di Sotto to Brunico. Otherwise, if your passion is cycling, you can enjoy the splendid Puster Valley Cycle Path with your children, maybe along the famous level stretch from San Candido to Lienz.
What about wintertime? Well, skiing in Valdaora with the children is undoubtedly an activity to add to your checklist: younger children can get to the ski slopes on a very long “magic carpet” – 80 metres of fun! Of course, there’s also a children’s 21-metre “magic carpet” for beginners. The Kids Area Panorama also has a sledge run and an area dedicated to inflatable games.
Mums and dads who love skiing will feel right at home in Plan de Corones: 119 kilometres of ski slopes, 32 ski lift facilities and the "Black Five", the five black ski slopes where you can test yourself like a real champion, while the children have fun at the Snow Park.
