Oltremare Aquarium in Riccione

Oltremare Park in Riccione, there are many small news! In the Hippocampus, the largest permanent exhibition in the world of living seahorses, another 50 small and beautiful creatures of the sea are born.
The seahorses of Oltremare are one of the most popular attracion for children: 11 species, they are colorful, various, minute and the males are the "mommies".
You have correctly understood, all the males have a pouch in which the female spawns her eggs, after a gentle dance. Inside this bag, the eggs find out the nourishment and only after 3/4 weeks hatch.
Just as happened on 26 June 2009, when the basins were populated by 50 new Hippocampus in miniature.
In their honour, the park has created two new basins, where you can enjoy these delicate marine creatures.
