Welcome to the San Domenico Family Hotel, where guests can enjoy a wonderful family holiday experience in a unique location. That’s right! Because we’re located in the panoramic part of the municipality of Scalea, which boasts an exceptional view of the Riviera dei Cedri. We also have a private beach, which is less than 2 km away, and can be reached using our convenient free shuttle service, where guests will find 1 shade umbrella and 2 sun loungers, as well as a bar with free unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.
But do you want to know what really makes an impression on our guests? Our water park, which features 3 amazing slides of different speeds, and 3 fantastic swimming pools, including a 75 cm deep children’s pool, all surrounded by an enormous sun deck overlooking the sea, with a shade umbrella assigned to each family.
Our family world is open to children and teens of all age groups, from 6 months to 17 years of age, offering activities, workshops, tournaments, excursions, and group games, every day, morning to evening. And the fun is truly non-stop! Because children have the possibility of dining with the entertainment staff, and the playroom is open until midnight!
We organise various excursions and experiences to offer our guests the opportunity to learn more about the surrounding the area, including boat trips, rafting, quad biking, diving, and snorkelling, and they even have the chance to see the birds of prey that inhabit our area up close.
With regard to the culinary experience, we offer our guests traditional Mediterranean cuisine, reinterpreted using typical Calabrian products, with meals served buffet style. For our younger guests, there’s a children’s restaurant with dedicated menu items.

Here at the San Domenico Family Hotel, we have one important mission: to ensure that all our little guests are happy, and are enjoying a unique holiday experience! For this, we rely on our young and professional entertainment staff, who keep children of all ages busy all throughout the day with an extensive programme of games, excursions, and tournaments. The fun never stops, also thanks to our Playroom, which is open until midnight, and our fantastic Amusement Park evening. |
Baby Club
Our Playroom is like a holiday nursery school, where the staff from our collective Baby Sitting service look after children 6 months to 3 years of age, and keep them busy with lots of fun and colourful entertainment activities, for 8 hours a day (from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), free of charge.
For children 3 to 6 years of age, who are typically curious and always on the lookout for new games, our staff organise fun educational and themed workshops, as well as a fantastic Amusement Park evening event.
Mini Club
For children 7 to 12 years of age, there are sports tournaments, fun shows, exciting parades, baby dance parties, karaoke events, and creative and cooking workshops held every day.
Junior Club
For older children 13 to 17 years of age, our staff organise Nordic walking, rafting, quad biking, and diving excursions, tennis and foosball tournaments, and archery, Beach Tennis and five-a-side football competitions. There’s also a games room, with multimedia games, billiards, and foosball.

At our restaurant, guests can enjoy traditional Calabrian and Italian specialties, mainly made using local products, with gluten free options certified by the AIC (the Italian Celiac Association). Children can choose from among our exquisite children’s menu items, and eat with the entertainment staff, while parents with infants have access to a 24-hour baby bottle station with a washbasin, changing tables, microwave, cooking plate, high chairs, bottle warmers, and specific early childhood products, including children’s pastas, broths, vegetable soups, and purées. Be sure not to miss out on our special themed evenings. |
