Genoa 2011
In the old port area of Genoa, situated inside the Acquario Village (Aquarium Village), there is a place especially designed for children between 2 and 12 years of age: La Città dei Bambini e dei Ragazzi (The City for Children and Young People)! This is the largest complex in Italy dedicated to science, technology and play activities which has been made to measure for children. There are so many things to see, discover and explore, with themed areas dedicated to the sea and the environment, science, the history of navigation and culture, all designed to entertain and interest young visitors. This is a place where learning becomes a new and involving form of play. At “La Città dei Bambini e dei Ragazzi”, play activities are used as a tool for passing on scientific information and understanding. The various areas inside the complex are divided according to age ranges, and parents can accompany their children in a fascinating journey to discover our world, and to develop new knowledge and skills. Indeed, the adults will be able to find answers for many typical children’s questions, and will refresh their own sense of curiosity and wonder.
