First Aid Kit and Family Holidays

Long holiday or short break, when you travel with your children it is always advisable to bring the first aid kit.
In a first aid kit you should certainly put: a thermometer, a packet of instant ice, a tourniquet, sterile scissors and tweezers, patches of all sizes.

If you go to the sea water resistant patches will also be useful: but use them only occasionally, because the plastic they are made does not the skin breathe.
To clean the wounds: disinfectant wipes, sterile gauze, hydrogen peroxide and vials of saline. The latter may also be used for colds.
Bring also an ointment for bruises, and an antihistamine cream to soothe the itching and redness caused by insect bites and sunburn.
Behind medical advice buy: an antibiotic for bronchitis and sore throat, ear drops for ear infections, antipyretic suppository for fever, antibiotic eye drops against conjunctivitis.
Useful also: a cleaning eye drops, milk enzymes for the intestines, a glycerine suppository for constipation, antiemetics chewing-gum for the trip if the child suffers from motion sickness.
